A finalist in the 2019 Milton Keynes Festival for Creative Urban Living competition, table:town proposes a single civic form to establish multiple settings for community gathering, storytelling, sharing memories, and dreams of life along/with/for the Milton Keynes Redways. A very long table evoking the Redways’ meandering lines, the public artifact includes micro-cutouts and colored stencils host possible community activities, places to sit, and bike storage. Its goal is to increase citizen awareness and advocacy for caring and activating the city’s open spaces.
